IBG Summer Meeting - June 2, 2017
The Illinois Biochar Group (IBG) will hold its next meeting on Friday, June 2, 2017, at the USDA's National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research in Peoria, Illinois. The meeting is an opportunity to learn about current biochar research, exchange information, and network with other biochar researchers in order to foster collaboration and promote biochar and its usage. As always, there is no monetary fee to attend this meeting.
We will begin with a lunch and networking session from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm. This is not mandatory if extra travel time is needed to get to Peoria. An optional tour of NCAUR will be available at 12:30 and then several presentations will be given starting at about 1:15. Depending on the number of presentations, talks should conclude around 3:00-3:30 pm, and you are welcome to stay and continue networking afterwards if so inclined.
Details of the agenda will be available in May. If you are interested in presenting a short 10-15 minute talk about your biochar work, please contact Steve Peterson (Steve.Peterson@ars.usda.gov or 309-681-6325) by May 19th.
